Caveman Drumsticks With Caramelized Onions
2 Turkey Drumsticks
1 Large White Onion, Diced 2 Liters of 7UP 2 Tablespoons Each: Sugar, Garlic Powder 1 Tablespoon Each: Black Pepper, Red Pepper Paula Deen's 'Homestyle' Seasoning 2 Tablespoons Salt 1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder 1 Tablespoon Black Pepper Honey |
Place Drumsticks, 2 liters of 7UP and onions in a large stock pot with sugar, garlic, black pepper and red pepper.
boil until thermometer placed into the thickest part of the drumstick (not touching the bone) registers 165 degrees. strain the turkey and onions from the pot. discard liquids. pats the thighs dry and season well with 'homestyle seasoning' melt butter in a pan over high heat and add the drumsticks. drizzle honey over the meat brown on one side, turn and then add the diced onions. drizzle with honey again. continue until all sides are crispy and browned. serve with mashed and gravy and green beans |
